Portuguese Guitar Concerts
In these monthly concerts you can hear the Portuguese guitar in its fullness through performances by the main interpreters of this instrument.
The concerts take place every month at 21:00. Tickets cost 15 euros and include a glass of port.

Paulo Soares is one of the main references in the world of Coimbra guitar, considered by many to be the best interpreter and pedagogue of our time.
In this concert we will have the opportunity to hear classics from the Coimbra tradition and original compositions by Paulo Soares.

Ângelo Freire, on the Portuguese guitar, and Carlos Manuel Proença, on the classical guitar, come together for an unprecedented concert dedicated to the classical repertoire of the Portuguese guitar by composers linked to the universe of fado.
Ângelo Freire is an outstanding and talented interpreter of the Portuguese guitar. In his career he has hundreds of concerts where he accompanied the greatest artists of the current fado, such as Ana Moura, Carlos do Carmo, Carminho, António Zambujo or Mariza. With them he played in the most prestigious halls in the world such as the Olympia, Carnegie Hall, Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall or the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Carlos Manuel Proença has stood out in the fado universe as classical guitar interpreter. He has toured nationally and abroad in shows with big names such as Carlos do Carmo, Camané, Ana Moura, Aldina Duarte, Carminho, Helder Moutinho, Cristina Branco or Mísia.

Henrique Fraga presents a concert dedicated to the legacy of the Paredes family with the work for Coimbra guitar by Carlos Paredes, Artur Paredes and Gonçalo Paredes.
Henrique Fraga, a guitarist trained in the academic world of Coimbra, where he made his way through the history of Portuguese guitar. A soloist with a strong creative impulse, his work is born in the transgenerational echo of this instrument to assert itself in a unique encounter between tradition and evolution.
